swapping ecu

Engine: 4.0L high output with compressed valves
swapping ecu
so my 1991 automatic 4.0 ho renix has a voltage regulator wired externally and the check engine light will be on forever now. So there is a 91 ecu i could use but jeep im getting the 91 ecu is manual.............will the hard drive work in my automatic?

all the pc ive changed ive never done a jeep yet ,they all have a white tag on them with number see them on this ecm this is prob not a jeep just for reference ill post it
