Default Swapping D-35 for 8.25 ?

I picked up an 8.25 Rear End complete, from Pick & Pull.
Brake Lines/Cables and all

My Rig: 1997 with D-35, and AW4
Donor Rig: 1998 with 8.25 and AW4
Both are 3.55 gear ratio

Do I need a new drive line ?
My Rig: NP242
Donor Rig: NP 231

Grab the u-bolts, u-bolt plates, e-brake cable and driveshaft from the donor rig as well.

Easy swap! I replaced the Dana 35 in my 1992 with an 8.25" from a 2000. You will definitely need the plates that the u-bolts bolt through from the donor vehicle. As for u-bolts, I throw in a set of new ones from Autozone that come in the one-inch lift block package (they may need to be cut down once installed, but are the perfect fit width-wise). The driveshaft bolted right up the yoke. Not sure what your situation is like, but the e-brake cables on the new axle didn't match up to the configuration of my 1992, but the axle is 8 years newer than the Jeep and the design had changed a bit.

EDIT: Didn't realize how old this topic was! So, how'd the swap go?
