Default swapping carriers on a d30

ive had my spiders welded up on my hp d30 or a while now and im finally done with it. today i went and got a carrier with everything on it cause my spiders are welded to the carrier and cross pin. my question is what is all involved in swapping the carriers out?

It's just like starting from scratch, might as well replace all the bearings while you are in there.
