swap front end
hi. i need a little bit of help i just bought a 1996 cherokee country but it needs complete front end, but i want to change the front it into the 1999 front end desing question does it fit with no modification on my car?? if it needs modification plese let me know what kind of.

What, exactly, is wrong with your front end? Just the axle? Steering? Suspension?
As far as I know, there are no changes across all XJs in the front axle except the "center axle disconnect" which the '96 and '99 won't have, and the switch to a low-pinion configuration for '00 (iirc). Maybe sway bar links? Also, obviously, gear ratio. So, the '99 axle should be a good bet (of course, I've never swapped one myself, but I wouldn't hesitate to try).

If you mean the front grill then yes there is a bit of work involved to make it look right like replacing the fenders as well and some go as far as the hood too. The doors won't quite match the fenders but close enough cause they won't swap.
