Going to be doing a S10 bastard pack on my Cherokee and I think it is already lifted 3" in the back. If i lift it up another 1.5" am I going to have vibration problems and need a custom driveshaft/SYE? Right now I have no vibrations at all.

go buy 4 hocky pucks and drill a center hole in them and then install them between ur crossmember and frame rail.. its the cheapest drop t-case kit you will every buy... you may need longer bolts but any hardware store will cary them they're a 3/8 bolt, normal thread not fine... and make sure you use grade 8 bolts dur lol that'll compensate for your driveshaft angle

Is that way of dropping the Tcase going to last a while without problem? I would need some help with the exact method of doing that, if it isn't as easy as you make it sound. If I use the s10 leaves, should i buy them somewhere, or just look around local junkyards/craigslist (or steal my buddies' off his 97' s10) and once I am installing them, should i just replace all but the stock leaf, or mix the S10 and the ones i have.

yes an sye kit is deffintely better.. by far.. but this is one of those cheap shortcuts... the sye is preffered if your jeep is going 4.5" or taller... (and it will cost you $300+, sye is roughly $150-$200+ and a custom d-shaft made will cost say $100 or more so yea its pricey) but if you run a 3.5" to a 4.5" lift you can get away with a drop t-case kit to save your d-shaft pinion angle, but any taller than that and you will have to run sye..... but to answer your question yes its as easy as it sounds won't cost more than $15 and shouldn't really take any longer than 30 mins... unless you brake a crossmember bolt, rusted S.O.B's then its a bit more entailed... but as long as you let them soak with a couple shots of PB blast then you should be alright
