I was looking around my cherokee, i purchased it back in sept, with the engine out, immed after i had two surgeries that deterred me from working on it, let alone stepping foot in the garage! I was finally able to start working on it, got to crawling around underneith, noticed the right rear shock was completely missing, it also looks as if the area where it attaches to the floor is compromised?? Is there a mount that is welded to the floor area, or is there a bracket?? Only concerned, cause i have a 4 inch lift and im not sure if im gonna have to have some welding done , i did plan on some floor pan repair, but not soon thou, sorry for the short story!!

it's not so much of a bracket as it is holes in the crossmember

Thanks guys, very appreciated!!! I was going to tackle the lift myself, but with all the old rusty hardware, unfort, i think im gonna have to pay someone to install, wich is ironic since i was determined to install the engine, and hack to gether 1 good engine harness from 3 others, Thanks again fellas!
