Default Broken Upper Rear Shock Mount?

Is there a "trick" to getting broken bolts out of where the upper rear shock mount once was......it doesn't seem like there is much metal to try an easy-out.

Thanks for any insight.

Hammer them out. Use a punch and pound the nut with the broken bolt in it (it's tack welded on). It'll pop off and you can use regular nut/bolts (1" bolts) and never have this issue again.

Don't even both with easy outs or bolt extractors. Worthless 95% of the time.

i drilled mine out and then threaded new bolts. most people will tell you to cut through the floor, but IMO it's not necessary.

x2 on hammering them out (used air chisel with blunt tip took 1 minute total for all 4) then you can tape the correct bolt to a box end wrench and fish it through the triangle shaped hole up there. I ran a nut on the bolt to snug it up, installed the shocks now I can remove the shocks without trying to get a wrench back on the bolt head.

x 2. Mine were f'ed up too and i had to do the same. Use a telescopic magnet to get the nut out too otherwise you'll hear it rattling around inside the unibody as you go down the road.

I cut my floor. I needed to weld anyways and replace the carpet.

What do I do if my mount is rusted out. Only 1 bolt is still there. The other hole is rusted out.

My guess is you need to cut out the rusted metal and weld on a new plate. I'd use nuts and bolts to replace as others have suggested.
