how do you determine shock absorber lengths im looking to get new shock absorbers for my jeep but dont know how long of a shock i need to get i have a 5 inch lift and i have the upgraded shock mounts on the front.

Just find a way to let the suspension fully extend and measure that distance from center of lower bolt to center of lower bolt or in the case of the stud type to the base of the stud.
