Default Suspension questions

OK.

I just put a 2" lift on my 97 XJ, looks OK & was wondering if I add a 2" puck & 2" shackles what issues I'll run into?

Will I:
Need custom drive shafts?
Will I have issues with steering?
will I need to drop the transmission to over come differential angle ?

Thnks!!

Hi, you will need to extend the rear brake line and probably the shocks if they are still stock, a SYE is a good idea but with 4 inches not a definite. I dropped my T-case 1 inch and shimmed the rear with 4 degree shims and I have no problems with steering or vibrations with a 3 inch Zone lift and 1 3/4 spacer in front and 1.5 shackle in rear...Tj

Thanks,

Another question what specifically do you mean by "shimmed the rear with 4 degree shims" .

When installing my new front springs. I found that the axle wouldn't full drop without removing my upper control arm. Does this mean I need to get ?? longer or different control arms to allow suspension more travel, I don't believe I could of got everything bolted back with the 2" puck?

Any special trick?

you can get shims from any major suspension maker, or you might even be able to pick them up at autozone. oh and your track bar will be too short and will pull your axle to the left by about 2". you can do one of three things to fix this
-get an adjustable trac bar
-get a drop bracket/relocation bracket
-redrill the hole on your axle
