suspension question
I have recently aquired a 93 xj with a 4in lift and 32s, the rear has drop shackles and lift blocks, the front has skyjacker springs and rubicon exp track bar and lower control arms ( non adj). with sway bar disconnects. I have a popping noise from the front and a slight vibration, I have done the obvious, and checked all the bushings and bolts, can't figure it out. any suggestions? thanks.

With the engine off, have an assistant turn the steering wheel back and forth while you watch and feel every piece of the steering system.
A couple of very common problem areas are loose track bar bracket (frame side), wallowed out trackbar mounting hole on the axle side, worn out Tie-Rod Ends (TRE'S) on the tie-rod and/or drag link.

thanks a lot, this is my first xj, I am used to full size chevys, so the suspension is new to me. the lower control arms are not adjustable, do you think this should be converted or not? Also It has drop shackles and blocks in the rear, how will this setup do on the trail? Thanks for the info.

What kind of driveshaft does it have in the rear? A two joint shaft or three joint shaft? If it has two ujoints then that's the stock setup and could be causing your vibes. The stock setup can't handle excessive driveshaft angles like a 3-joint (double cardian cv dreiveshaft) can.

I also had a popping noise in the front of my XJ. I do not have sway bar discos so I dismounted my sway bar one day and it did not pop anymore. The tops of my sway bar links have an elongated hole and I think it was just the bolt moving back and forth. There was nothing I could do about it because it is as tight as I can get it.
