Default super budget built ideas

When i get my jeep, I would like some cheap and easy meds to do, emphesis on CHEAP, being a student on a very limited budget. Im really looking for like spare tire carriers, roof racks, bumpers, etc. Really anything you can do interior or exterior wise that I can get from a junkyard or build myself. It would be done on a 97 or above cherokree. Im pretty big into the search and rescue thing, so I need a lot of gear storage ideas.

I can build the storage thing no problem, the rack, a friend who is good with a welder and I know a good salvage yard around here to get the tire carrier

As a welder/engineer... The first one looks good, but its rough around the edge.. you can see that, point 2, your going to block what you see out back window, point 3.. its rough.. but i like it.. but.. its rough.. lol
point 4, when its raining and blowing a north east wind smack in the kisser, i want to put shopping and dog in without having to open to boots. Why not fit a holding frame on back door, and upgrade the lift??

Second one, if thats what you need.. go for it.

3rd one.. Thats the type of work i do.. well done to the guy that build, fab/ I like.

If you do the 3rd one, why not add frame to bolt wheel to?? Add a ladder to climb onto roof. hmmm thoughts.

Thats a good idea im just worried about it being too top heavy. For the ladder, maybe something like this

i'm not a fan of swing aways that mount to the quarter panel but thats just me..they put stess on a non-loadbearing surface and can lead to cracking/ripping of your body....the roof rack very nice and well built but is mounted to the stock rinky dink racks.. my $0.02

Top heavy?? you mean to stand on the roof?? or??

yea that ladder would do it.. if building yourself, .. do rack first, when building ladder, open the boot, and build/measure from there, that way you cant go wrong on clearance between ladder and rack.

The idea of wheel on back door is nice, but i would still be looking to see out back window, bumber my need cut to lower the wheel down, but like the ladder idea better, mine still in the boot. After near 2 years working on her, i think the mot is in sight first.
