Default Sunroof and Overhead console

I have a 99 with what I believe is an aftermarket sunroof and an overhead console. It looks like when they installed the sunroof they cut the overhead console and now it hangs down a little and the headliner is hanging around the dome lights.

Does anyone else have a sunroof with overhead console? I can't tell if the console was a long one piece design that included the dome light and they cut a section of it to make room for the sunroof or if there are 2 separate peices, a console and a dome light.

ultimately Im trying to get the proper trim around the sunroof, dome light and console so that it looks a little more like a factory install.

I have an aftermarket vermuelen hollandia sunroof that was installed by the previous owner. The over head console was indeed a one piece from the factory. I just finished reupholstering the headliner in my 99 cherokee classic.

When i took the old material off of the consoles, I could tell the consoles had been cut. Pieces of aluminum were riveted to the console ends on the sunroof sides to give the console the squared off ends. See my pic posted earlier. You can see the flat edges facing the sunroof.

Ill post some pics this weekend.

Mine looks similiar to jjstultz but not as nice. Headliner is sagging and the plastic rear console is hanging.

I'm goingto pick n pull this weekend to get a whole headliner board without sunroof cutout and then see if I can put it back together a little neater.

jjstultz, where did you get the interior sliding panel over the sunroof. Was it there when you bought it or did you fab it yourself? Mine is missing.

Mine is also similar to jjstultz but looks hacked since it is not covered so nicely and my sunroof does not have that cover. Pictures in a few minutes.

Bad photos but you can see that the rear portion was left as is.

You can work with that. Just be patient and take your time. Use a piece of tin or aluminum and rivet it to the unfininished piece of the console. The headliner material will cover it up. Let me know if you have questions
