Has anybody used this package from Summit?

The parts on the '97 I just bought look ancient so I'm going to do fresh plugs and figured I'd replace some other ignition parts while I'm at it.

I can tell you from experience everything that comes from Summit Racing, whether it's their private brand or big name is the highest quality. That tune up package will work out great for you.I used to live in OH near their Talmadge store, and I was always getting something from them.Hope this helps answer your question.

I have the Summit Kit and for the money its a great deal. Better quality then the parts store brands. The wires are nice and thick, the boots are solid, even came with wire separators and dielectric grease. Not much room for improvement on the age old cap and rotor design but still quality pieces. I would say go for it, you wont be let down.

I put the cap, rotor, and wires on last night along with a set of new Champion plugs. I'm not sure how old the plugs were, but they were just thrashed and had gaps at .50-.55 with horribly rounded off electrodes. The terminals in the cap and the rotor had crazy carbon build up and the wires were dried out. When I fired it up after replacing all the parts the idle jumped up to 1000 rpms for a few seconds until the computer compensated and brought it back down. It definitely seems to be running smoother now.
