Hey guys, I was out wheeling a few weeks back and put a mean dent in my cragar soft 8's, right on the lip. I hammered the lip back a bit and it was fine, but now that it is cold out the air is seeping out. I filled it in with some automotive glue, like between the lip and tire bead (its still sunken dent isn't that bad now) but I cant really have this happen any night. If I was anything but a broke student I would spring for a new rim but right now I need to ride this out. Any caulking or anything I can ghetto rig up?

Best I can tell you is that tire foam sealing junk... I normally wouldn't recommend it as its hard as hell to balance the wheel afterwords.... but it may be the only option in your case...best thing to do would be replacing the rim. Start saving $$$...

shove a tube in it...so long as the bead's not gonna pop from the rim and it's just about keeping in the air that'd fix ya up

I'd say need more hammering as you didn't bend the lip right. Options fast one you get a new rim and the the old one for a spare, option two you break the bead and straighten the lip better with a hammer, wrench, punch and maybe a little heat depending on how bad it is. Put some bead sealer around the rim and tire and inflate worse case it still leaks.

Use a body mans flat block and a hammer. It will take time but you can get it back to straight again.
