Was wheeling one nite 3am and ended up in a hole for 3 hours. Tranny was full of water as was the motor. One of my problems is ive got no oil presure now,so ive drained everythang pulled both the tranny and oil pan and oil pump took oil pump apart cleaned it all up and reinstalled it and the pans after i put a new timing chain and gear set in it. Fired it up ran good for a minute or two then the presure gauge drops from 40psi to 0 psi. Any info to help me aliviate my problem would be appriciated, also once the gauge drops my 4.o sounds like hell!!!!!

Just a suggestion. My buddy rolled his wrangler into a lake... and shut it off right away, but there was water in everything. he drained EVERYThing and replaced all fluids, let it run for, well, all day, and cleared it out. Just a thought. was yours running the whole time?

maybe the oil pump lost its prime. Try removing the dist. and spinning the pump,
keeping an eye on the oil pressure. Hopefully ----
