as the title says.... I am having a fuel pressure issue. I have a new fuel pump recently installed with no change. so here it is.... is my fuel pressure regulator located in the tank or on the fuel rail somewhere? any help would be much appreciated! Thanks. Sorry for the useless thread haha

yes I did. I tested the fuel pressure and its already a bit low but when I do the snap throttle test, it actually drops instead of increasing like I should. this points at my regulator but unfortunately I cannot locate it haha

If you do not have a regulator on your fuel rail, then it should be built into the fuel pump. If you have the incorrect fuel pump, it may not have the regulator. The '96 had a few changes mid-year, that could be one of them.
And the bad news is...if you have the regulator as part of the pump assembly (not on the rail), it's a 96-only part and not available new anywhere. Scrapyard time.
Parts houses will try to sell you the rail regulator from a '95, that's what their books show. In most cases that is not correct.
