Mine was missing originally too, I got one from a junkyard for $10 or thereabouts. Also found a good clean sticker and used some spray adhesive to secure it under the seat bottom.

Struck out in the junkyard I got the wiper motor from, but admittedly at that time I did not know to look under the back seat. (Most of the Cherokees were pretty well picked over though.) Will check out there again. Those jacks are available all day long on ebay, but most are $30 to $50 plus shipping which seems a bit high.

That wiper motor, BTW, worked out fine, rear wiper is working now.

For now I put a generic scissor jack that I had laying around under the seat along with a block of wood to raise it higher if needed. Also a folding 4-way lug wrench. That should hold me until I can find a factory jack.

scissor jack is the devil's choice

I thought about getting a hydraulic for a while, but honestly the stock screw jack works awesome and no chance of it leaking hydraulic oil on the carpet

Scissor jack is just a stopgap until I can get the factory job. Good point about possible hydraulic leaks with a bottle jack.

Reckon your not interested in that little floor jack I posted. I've got to have a set up my wife can handle is the reason I went with it. Anyways if you want to get into it your welcome to my factory jack and accessories if they'll work with your '99 for the cost to ship it to you. Everything looks like new as it was never used.

Actually the floor jack is a good idea but is it small enough to fit under the back seat? I would be concerned about someone "liberating" it if left visible. I'm going to be heading back to the boneyard in the next few days for a few things, I'll see if I can find a factory jack locally for a few bucks. If I strike out I may just take you up on that offer!
