I feel like I'm missing something here and was hoping someone has some suggestions.....

1996 XJ randomly didn't want to start yesterday. After doing all the standard checks, there is no voltage getting to the solenoid when I try to start.

That leaves Ignition Switch and NSS.

When I turn ignition the starter relay does click so I assume that it is good. I also moved the relays around to make sure it was good and that didn't change anything. I replaced the ignition switch just for kicks and that didn't change anything.

Next up is NSS. I haven't tried taking it out yet, but I did do a few prelim tests that I THOUGHT would rule it out.
-The reverse lights come ON when I shift into reverse with the car off.
-I can't get it to start in Nuetral or by wiggling the shifter around.

I've also checked all the fuses and they are all good and I can jump the starter and it starts right up. Am I missing something stupid?? Could the wiring harness have gotten loose or the solenoid wire for some reason disconnect?

There have been no previous indications that anything was wrong or going bad. I didn't give it a bath and it didn't get wet in anyway.

ANY IDEAS???? I'm at a loss...tomorrow I take out the NSS just because I have no other ideas. Thanks
