I just installed my uppers yesterday. The way I got the axle to rotate back was to put a jack under each side of the tie rod and jack it up lightly. It will make the axle lean back, and as long as you don't put too much pressure on the tie rod you'll be fine

Right now I'm stuck up top on the passenger side. Somebody had already destroyed the not up there and now I attempting to cut it off. Not going well. The original problem was getting the axle to the driver side upper. I did that with hd ratchet strap. But I've been trying to get that bolt our for a day now and I'm starting to consider selling the perfectly awesome Cherokee for parts rather than deal with it

There is no issue with the bushings. The bolt is in that microscopic spot next to the starter. This really is one of the worst possible nuts to get stuck

I don't own one. Plus I just spent the money on the dremel to get it out. Just gonna keep going at it until it comes free. Got no choice. I know it shouldn't be as hard as it has been. Last lift I did went on in a day. I got over 13 hours into this one so far and still haven't finished a single side
