Does it only stick on one side? Have you checked all the bulbs? Check the fuse to make sure its got good clean contacts and check the flasher relay. Then the next step would be the switch itself, which is where I am leaning towards since most of the time an electrical issue that's intermittent has something to do with a non stationary item like a switch.
If it does it again see if you can probe the wires coming out of the switch to see if one is flashing, if not then your switch is bad.

That was what mine was, they are like 33 bucks. make sure they have a lifetime warranty, as even a new aftermarket one can mess up on you shortly after you get it. I replaced one, then two monthe later, it went bad again, gotta like warranties
