Stuck on defrost

Stuck on defrost
Jeep Cherokee, got to love her but the AC is stuck on defrost vents. Could this be a simple fix to swap out the control bezel or the deep plunge behind dash to replace plastic flaps that fail. Thank for feedback

I believe the vent position (windshield, dash, floor) is controlled/determined by vacuum with windshield being the default position. Check for vacuum leak(s) 1st.
