Exclamation Stroker builds!

Ok I did a search on stroker motor and all I found was a lot of talk about doing this swap instead of a v8 (of any make)
So well have any of you DONE one?
Pics, info, specs ANYTHINg?
I know I need a crank and rods from a 258 cu in I6 but thats about all.
I have an 89 short block with a 91 rebuilt head on it running in my 91
The body will be laid to rest in the boneyard soon (Unless someone wants it) and I'm keeping the drive train. IS the 89 block a good place to start.
Should I hold out for an HO block. Already have the head. Heard some noise about the 2000 intake and I really like the idea of seperate coils for each plug. Comes from my harley racing days and we ran single fire ignition.
Well?

I've read that the crank pulley for the AMC crank won't work with the stock 4.0L's acc drive belt, and something must be improvised.

Thanks. Appreciate the link. took a quick look
No offence meant. Really!!!! I used to be an auto mechanic and I've had the 91's engine in and out about 3 times.
Great advice though, and anyone who is reading this and has never done it SHOULD save that link! Lots of specific useful stuff in it!

no I wanna build a STROKER! Need some ***** to the wall power and I don't want to futz around with a bastard transplant. Who ever suggested putting in a SBC in these already perfect jeeps needs a slap up back of the head! LOL

Here's hoping someone here has done it!

There's a guy on here, I think it may be bigbadxj but I might be wrong, who is always talking the praises of the strokers. Maybe he'll be on later and add his input. He listed part #s in a past thread to build a killer engine, but I can't find the link. Still looking though.

Hey thanks for the links! look good so I bookmarked them.
Any more of you guys doing one or have done one?

I knew a cebby lover would pop up! Just kidding!
I'm more of a purist. I want to make whatever came from the particular manufacturer better. Although the original AMC thing is a tough one. I had a 64 Rambler American that I literaly bolted in a Ford 302 with mostly stock parts. The original flathead six was apparently a chrysler engine.
