Stripped caliper bolts
I was able to get the left hand side caliper bolts out to replace the brake pads but unfortunately the 2 on the right side are stripped and the rotor is shot so I really need to get these out so I can get this stuff apart. Any suggestion on how to get these out? They are allen heads and there are 2 of them on each side. I thought maybe of taking the brake line off and just pulling the whole darn thing out rotor and all and seeing then what I can do.

I believe the size allen is 7mm so make sure have the right size. If you are using the right size and it is not working. Try the next size up using a hammer punch it in there.
Also TorX works good for allen bolts also. And it having a smaller surface area you may be able to tap them out easier.
If that doesn't work you will need to get ya an extractor set and some good drill bits.

You can take a drift punch or anything with a flat surface and go around the edge of the bolts and roll the edges back in. If it is stripped you can see the edges are flared/rolled out. Then take your 7MM wrench and tap it in with a hammer. It has worked quite a few times for me.

Thanks you guys, you`re awesome,, I managed to get the bolts out and picked up some new ones,,
but now the darn rotor will NOT come off, I`m not sure if it ever has been,,*lol* I smacked it with a hammer,,
What am I missing here now as far as any tricks to taking it off so I can put a new one ? I also noticed the one I bought doesn`t have the lug bolts installed so I guess I`ll have to punch out the old ones or just get new ones and have them pressed in.
This is now what the war maid wants me doing on her birthday,, but,, jeeps come first right?..*heh-heh*

DOH!!, sheesh bro, you`re right I think, don`t why that thought never crossed me,, probably because I`m gettin` frustrated with this thing, I just want to make sure my daughter has a safe vehicle for hauling my grandkids around in and I seem to just keep hitting obstacles along the way..*lol* I have never had a rotor stick like this one,, they are`nt part of the hub or anything are they, they don`t look like they are.
two pieces. I recommend go autozone.com or search front brake repair on cherokee via google and you can get a visual idea on how the pieces look apart. There probably is here on the forum some build pics as well. I just haven't found it yet.

normally it should just about fall off once the caliper is out of the way. I think it is just stuck. if you are going to replace it anyway. BFH and go nuts. but be careful. they will chip and break if you catch the edge with a hammer. protect those eyes.
I looked and looked for something like this before I posted to no avail,, good job,,
I do have the calipers off so that should pose no problem..
so I think I`m on the right track as far just hammerin` that rotor off, I just need to go beat the heck out of it...
I just wanted to make sure they weren`t attached ot the hub or anything like that.
As soon as I get home from my "mandatory o.t.' Saturday...Sucks,,*lol*
