Default stripped brake bolt

So I stripped a lug stud on the right front wheel, got a new one and as I was putting the brake caliper back on, the top bolt would not catch (the lower was fine). I've tried everything, I got a longer bolt so that I could get it in to where the threads might catch but they just won't. I'm stuck and I don't really know what to do. I don't think that I can get a nut in the tight space on the other side of the hub where the top of the caliper bolts on.. Has anyone ever encountered this or know what to do? Thanks!

I had the same problem. There's a Guy who sells a repair kit. All you need to do is drill the hole and rethread it with an insert and bolt included in the kit. Search Amazon for it.

That's what I was thinking but it looks almost impossible to line the nut up to the hole/bolt. How did you do it?

I guess I'll have to get the kit if ^ that doesn't work. Thanks

stick the nut in a box end wrench and use it to line up with the bolt

Wait will I have enough room to get the wrench off after I get it tightened? I barely had enough space to fit the nut down there..

I used needle nose pliers to get the nut started on mine.
