Default Strange thing happend to me... no power

Yesturday when I tried to drive my jeep I had no power at all. I unlocked it with the remote, sat down put the key in and with the door still open tried to turn on the jeep, but I had no power at all. No lights, no stereo, nothing. Turned the key several times and nothing, not even a click from the starter. I got out to ask a buddy for a jump to get it to the shop and test it and of course out of habbit I hit the lock button on the remote and the horn blew. I thought that was strange because if there was no power the locks should not work by remote. So I turned back, unlocked the jeep, sat down and I had power again. Interior lights were on, stereo had power and jeep started right up. Checked battery terminals and they are on tight but do have a little corrosion around them and could stand a cleaning. Any ideas as to what could have caused this?

Most likely a loose connection. Clean the battery terminals first, then before you reconnect the negative to the battery, tighten the positive cable where in connects to the starter and the negative where it connects to the engine. Now reconnect the negative cable at the battery.

X2 on the above post. Try mixing baking soda and warm water to clean terminals and cable of corrosion, plus if you can get the battery terminal spray and spray both terminals and it will keep them clean and lubricated...Tj
