Default Strange electrical issue?

I have a '98 XJ Sport, 241,xxx miles on it. I got in this morning to run errands, and my gauge cluster is completely dead, no odometer. My aftermarket radio also stopped working, as well as my power locks don't lock my doors unless my key is turned to run. Has anyone else experienced this?

Were you able to start the vehicle and have it run normally while this was happening?

It would run and drive, however the gauges wouldn't even move.

There was a TSB on the cluster connector for the clusters on the later years - apparently moisture gets in and screws it up. I'd pull the cluster and clean up the connector really good on both sides.

Would the connectors for the cluster have any effect on the interior lights as well? As of this morning the dome lights and footwell lights are also inop.

After checking the bulbs and fuses, I'd do a thorough grounds cleaning and check your wiring. Sounds like water is getting in and mucking things up, or something is rubbing and chafing out wires.

Ended up finding the issue! After checking the connectors for the cluster I found a blown 15A fuse in the PDC, ran the radio, some lights, and cluster. Thanks for the help everyone!
