Exclamation Straighten out steering wheel?

Hello all, I tried searching for this, but found nothing...
My steering wheel is off center by about 45 degrees, it happened when I hit a ditch pretty hard with my wheel turned all the way to the left... (ice...)
So I'm pretty sure that my steering gear just got knocked one tooth off, is there any way to straighten it out again?

I also wanted to know how many of you out there are using off-set ball joints, my alignment is a little off and I have been told the only way to fix it is with off-set ball joints...

Thanks guys!

some thing in the front steering linkage is bent, you need to replace it and steering wheel will be back center you can adjust it but itg will not fix bent steering links

off set ball jonts only get used if your axle housing is bent or the inner or outer c are bent but its just a patch a bent housing or c needs to be replace

I'll have to post pics because I've inspected everything and compared with my friend's XJ, nothing APEARS bent, but when I turn LEFT I do hear a little clunk, on the other hand, no death wobble and everything FEELS solid, not loose....

Thanks again for the input.

x2 on something being bent. It may not be obvious, though.

Check the 3 bolts that hold your gearbox to the front left framerail. Make sure there is 3 and that there is no play. Set the Jeep up on some jackstands and feel for side to side movement in the wheels. If it does, a tierod is needed on said side. Lay a prybar under the wheel once on the stands as well. If there is up/down play, balljoints might be worn or toast from ditch diving.

Ender, youre not alone with this problem! happened to me yesterday while backing out of a driveway with my wheels turned. Me, my dad, my friends dad, and my grandpa looked everything over and we all agree that nothing APPEARED loose or bent. We decided that the only thing left could be that someting slipped in the steering box.

Im going to my small town Jeep and alignment shop tomorrow to talk to them. Ill let you know what the verdict is if you still have to problem.
