Default Straight pipe?

Ive been wondering if cutting off my muffler effects the motor at all or just makes my jeep sound better? and how much would getting a straight pipe after that cost?

"Better" is an interesting term to use... There are some people on here that may speak up about you losing your backpressure, which I shant comment on, but after a quick search.. http://www.jeep4x4center.com/exhaust...-83502645.html .. I know that the years are wrong, but at least you get the idea. I'm baffled as to why this wouldn't fit a 93-96 as well.... Oh well. And youll need a section of straight exhaust pipe to replace the muffler that you cut off.

Straight pipe costs nothing lol cut it off. Why does it matter if it comes out the back? Who cares. It sounds good. And please if your going to pay someone to "straight pipe" also known as just cutting off a muffler, ill be glad to haha

I went with a flow master exhaust and straight pipe to rear axle. cab noise is now much louder inside the jeep. the money has been spent so i'll leave it but next time around i'll be lookin' for a quieter exhaust note.

How bout doing a search instead of making a one thousandth thread about making exhaust louder. This going nowhere fast anyways and it's gonna be a head ace thread closed.
