Stock wheel backspacing ?
I currently have installed on my Jeep the factory 10 hole wheels. I recently added 235/75 BFG AT's. I am going to be installing a 2" BB type of lift. Probably will consist of coil spacer and shackles. I am looking at upgrading my wheels to an aftermarket wheel. Should I stick with the 15x7 width as my factory wheels, with this tire combo? The main question is that I would like the stance to be about an inch wider. What backspace should I get?
Thanks!
Thanks!

15x8's with 4" BS would suit you fine. (Assuming you have stock steel wheels with 5.25" BS now). This will widen your stance by 2.5" total.

Stick with Factory rims. And use wheel spacers. But than I would also skip the coil spacer and shackles. And use new coils and leafs. Preferably Old Man Emu 2.5 suspension Kit. To get rid of the sag, they all acquire over time................. JMO!

Funny that you say that, because a friend of mine has an OME, lift that he is going to sell me when he takes it off of his XJ. He is replacing it with a new Rubicon Express system. I really only want 2 to 2.5 inch of lift though, but it seems that his is going to be in the 3 to 4 inch range.

My 8" Black D's protrude about 2" more than the factory steel for about a 4" wider stance. It looks very good IMO with 235 Wranglers which do not have quite as wide a tread as the BFG's. With my pre 2" lift sagging rear springs my rear tires do hit the flairs when loaded with five people and groceries. They would not hit with the factory wheels. BFG's are more square shouldered and I would not change your wheels until you have the 2" lift installed or you will/at least mine would rub bad. I plan to lift 2"s and BFG AT's eventually. But lift first. Today my wife was waiting in a Meijer parking lot when two Pickup truck guys stopped to admire the Jeep and saying how "it would look great with a 2" lift. I agree. Have fun.
Sorry, way old post.
