I have a 1991 jeep cherokee with no lift. I noticed that the bolts on the driver side track bar mount were loose so I tightened them. Now when I turn almost full lock in either direction there is a loud pop and the bolts have begun to loosen again. when the bolts are loose there is no pop. what could it be? I'm thinking the track bar bushings are worn and are causing play and movement. Thanks for the help.

 

Hmm odd when my bolts were loose on the "frame" side it would make loud clunks when I turned but went away after I tightened them

 

Take the bolt right out and check if the hole has wallowed out, could be shifting side to side with the amount of force on it
