I'm using JK Rubicon shocks on my 3in lifted XJ. Should I remove the plastic shock covers or leave them on? I didn't know if an OEM shock has the same type of seal at the top as the aftermarket ones do. I would imagine so but I wanted to ask.

they do, just take them off, all the boots do is cause rust so the shock fails sooner

Just what I was looking for, a quick answer. One more question for those looking, the Rubicon is a....monotube gas shock?

So the Rubicon shocks are mono-tube gas. Alright. Thanks again.
