It was for either the heavy duty or soft ride.
PS. I am not doing this, just trying to figure out what the PO did

Maybe the PO did a bastard pack.
I have 5 leafs/pack, by adding another stock Cherokee long leaf with the ends cut off.
Maybe he added two per pack from a donor pack?

pehaps an extra leaf for the driver side weight, then another for the jack and shovel on the passenger side (after all it's the passenger who would be using those items), then another leaf to handle the tool box weight, keep the tool box centered and add a leaf to both sides, then there is that full size spare weight to contend with, counter it by ditching the passenger, he's too fat and should be busy with the shovel and jack anyways, let his girlfriend ride shotgun, if the XJ is too unbalanced she can shift over to the driver side but no way that guy with the jack and shovel are getting back in, he's covered with mud. Might as well get him to count the leafs while out there. Could check for wheel well to tire clearance while the driver and his girl rock the XJ from inside. What was this thread about, my attention seems to have wandered......

Sprung
yes definately shootin some bs there, anyway I found some info, I replace the pooched (inverted) stock springs with a stock build, brand is "Standens Company" out of Oilberta, Canada. Part # 97-545. Bolt in, 4 leafs per side, real nice assembly and finish, bushings and new bolts, made in north america too. Set the rear 1" taller than stock. Had them in 3 years now, over 150000km, still arched the correnct way, hard to say how much the height has been effected or sagged as I also run a Monroe coil over sensi track shock for load assist, and 2.5" blocks. oh yes, the pair of leaf spring sets was $620 cdn and gotem at delta spring, breslau, ontario, generally a transport service facility. I am happy with the set and they provided the full stock replacement I wanted at that time.
Just checked, still at 3.5" above stock and the springs are still lookin good. Now back to the trails, does anyone have a girlfriend who wants to ride up front?
