Stock fog/offroad light switch

The stock light switch in my 1990 XJ does not seem to work. I would like to be able to use this switch with a couple of bumper lights until I can get a light bar made. Has anyone had any experience fixing this? Is it even worth my time to try and use the stock switch?

if you are going to use more powerfull after market light th switch might not be strong enough to allow the proper current to them

Engine: 4.0 H.O. K&N, Borla headers, custom down pipe, magnaflow hi-flo cat, flowmaster to turn down tip

as long as you use a relay rated at least to 30amps then you will be fine. and if you switch doesnt work then you can get one for like 2 bucks on ebay or the junkyard. the stock switch can not handle the load of offroading lights more powerful then 55 watts but if wired through a relay you will be fine.
