Question Stock fog light problems

I have searched the forum for a question like this or topics pertaining to this one and i have no such luck. I have an 01 XJ with stock fog lamps the little rectangle ones and the switch isn't working i've trouble shot with it, unfortunately it was sold to me that way and i've gotta fix it before inspection time comes around. I would like to keep them in until i get my ARB bumper. Any help, and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
