still stalling !
today it got real bad, its no longer driveable. it'll start, but it stalls when u put it into drive and gas it; every time.
it's also misfiring at times, backfiring out the intake & exhaust randomly.
gonna try an o2 sensor tomorow, let everyone know how it goes.

in a last ditch effort i punched the harness that runs along the firewall, and a beautiful thing happened.. the engine stalled !
after finally being able to duplicate the stalling condition when i wanted, i found that the ground strap that runs from the valve cover to the firewall was rubbing on the injector harness and managed to expose a wire. i took a jumper wire from the neg battery terminal and touched that exposed wire and sure enough, the engine stalled out. repaired the harness and it hasnt stalled or misfired in a week; no matter how hard i romp with it.
oh & on a side note, you dont want to lose that strap.. a few days ago i had a battery bounce up and arc on my hood, causing one ground wire to melt (which i immidiately repaired) and the valvecover-to-firewall grnd strap to completely seperate(didnt notice that). it ran fine without the strap, but the very first time i turned the key off, it blew the crank sensor out. replaced it, ran great, then right when i turned it off again the cam sensor blew out. looked at the cam sensor and the pickup magnet was blown clear the hell off of it, the plastic plate was warped and there were burn marks on what was left of the pickup. i was baffled, and scared to put any more parts in it. then i finally noticed the ground strap had seperated & replaced it with one from the junkyard. replaced cam sensor and now all is well.
thanks for all your help guys! i had been chasing that SOB for almost 3 months now
