and this issue is seprate from the starter and distributor.... the rig runs it just won't stay running...

No fuel to keep it running the switch bypasses the relay in start mode .BAD RELAY!!!

finaly figured it out... it was the fuel pump relay all thanks to jer4key ... i appriciate everyones help and input...

Woohoo! I know how you feel now. I was relieved when I got mine running again. I thought you said you checked all the fuses and relays though, haha.

turns out it was a small relay that control the fuel pump... way to simple of a fix considering what i've been doing... thanks for your help... special thanks to je4ryek

Haha, don't thank me, I didn't even help! Now we all know for future reference that if it only runs when you hold the key, the fuel pump relay is shot.
