Default Still leak after seals and gasket replacement.

Hello All, I'm certain this topic has been mentioned before and I have read the suggestions and still have a leak coming from bell housing. I replaced valve cover gasket and torqued to 10ft/lb, including the one in the very back, new pcv hoses, oil sending unit, filter adapter o-ring, filter, rear seal, pan gasket and new pan. I understand the few days and I just did mine this past Sunday. Every time I stop there's a drip on the bell housing and everything else is dry. Any suggestions on other source of leak?

Valve cover screws are to be torqued to 85 in/lbs, not 10 ft/lbs.

What gasket did you install...a Felpro?

Make sure to clean everything thoroughly. Get all the old oil and dirt out of there. Then let it get to operating temperature then investigate from the top and make your way down. The leak could be a bunch of things even though you replaced a lot.

Thank you guys. I did see the 85ft/lb but as soon as the torque wrench reached around 20 the first bolt snapped and so was the second one so after more reading 10 was the suggestion. I will clean it up tonight and investigate from there. Thank you again for the replies.

It's 85 INCH/pounds, not foot/pounds. Quick math puts that at 6.8 ft/lbs

I would have to bet that valve cover gasket is smashed now.

....aaand the cover is warped, and there's one side that's not secured at all 'cause there's a broken bolt in the head...

Don't forget the distributor gasket.

As a testament to "always look up" when you see oil leaking, I was topping off fluids the other day...went to add a small amount of oil, slipped while pouring, and spilled it all over the valve cover. Guess where it all went? Right down to the RMS (and ultimately on the driveway,DOH)...didn't get too much on the driveway as I immediately moved the jeep into the dirt, haha
