I like liquid lithium grease that comes in a spray can. It lasts a lot longer than wd40 and works great!

if wd40 dont work or lithium greese id resort to a thick silicone spray, idk about hinges but on my tool box at work i sprayed it on the drawer slides because they were sticking (before snap-on came out with the ball bearing rollers) and it freed them up quite a bit

Default Door Check

You can change just the door hinge so see if that works which is sorta rigged up without changing the door check. The hindge I got from the stealership for 10$ the pin for 5$ and the check I bought online for 70 dealer wanted 90. Here is a pic with the prices. Hope it works out.

Yea you might be able to get away with just changing the hinge and pin but I like everything replace OCD I guess check where the pin is if its a oblong circle then that's your problem.
