lifter noise?
am new to forum but life long jeeper. have had 48 cj2a,78 cj5, 95yj and now am interested in getting a cherokee. been loking at alot of trucks and
on several have detected what seems to be lifter noise at rear of engine while idling.
trucks have had 100,000 plus miles but still seem sound. was wondering if
this is something that is a common problem or maybe something else entirely.
never noticed this with my yj, 160,000 miles when sold but have heard this on several trucks now.
common or coincidence?

EDIT: your guna need lots of patience to lol it takes a while unless you have hydraulic lifters then thats a diff story i dont know what they have but if they are hydraulic you put a little bit of transmission fluid in your oil and it will build your oil pressure and stop the lifter knock read up about it before you do cuz i dont know how much you put in
