I am going to purchase a adj trac bar from rustys , i have a 4.5 kit installed with a 1 inch spacer in the front and a 3/4 shackle in the back, so i figured im about 5.5 total, my qwestion is should i get the 6 inch track bar to allow for adjustment? Any guys out here running adj control arms? How far can i go with my lift before i start throwing off drive and pinion angles? Thanks.

If your getting a Rustys at least get the Heavy Duty one.

Yes the at that lift you will likely need upper and lower adjustable arms to make the pinion and front end geometry correct

bigin, DEFINITELY get the 6" Rusty's adjustable track bar. I put a 4.5" Rusty's lift on my XJ and then added a Daystar BB, 1 3/4 inch front spacer and a 1 inch lift rear shackle. So far, I have busted 2 tierod ends on mt Rusty's adjustable track bar that came with my 4.5" lift. I do belive it is the wierd angle caused by the BB that is doing it. I'm going to end up buying the Rusty's Heavy duty frame drop mount so my track bar will be back at the correct angle.

many of us have said this, but people keep buying his steering. i've been very pleased w/ my RE one. the JKS also makes a good product.

to each his own.

I've heard BAD things about his steering components!! If you can afford a HD Rusty's, then you can afford another, more trust worthy brand, IMHO!! The TB of your vehicle is not a place to skimp, it can lead to serious consequences!! HTH!!

beleive it or not I have found the RE adj track bar is one of the cheapest available through most places. I wont ever buy anything but springs from rusty's but especially not steering related stuff. I have even heard his skid plates are crap.
I ended up going with a rough country adj trck bar. it was 100 bux+ shipping

to the guy who keeps breaking tie rod ends on his 4.5 rusty's trackbar while mounted on his 6" lift
its not bad angles of the bar, its bad parts to begin with
