Default Steering Stabilizer and Trackbar Help

Removed the tie rods and ends yesterday for my upgrade tie rods. I decided to include the trackbar, but I cannot remove it. One end has a castle nut with a cotter pin, and I cannot access the remaining rusted pin piece (s). Will a dremel do the job on this castle nut? The space is tiny.

2nd problem is the opposite ends of the trackbar and steering stabilizer. I have been able move the bolts, but the nuts are moving with them. I have tried using a rachet and wrench, with no success. Also, the track bar has a metal tab that seems bent. Suggestions???? Is it time to plug in the angle grinder?

If all that is left is the part of the cotter pin that is inside the bolt it may be possible to wrench the nut off. You will need to replace the nut as there will be some damage to the threads.

The tab is a way to lock a nut in place. Use a chisel to bend the tab away from from (down) so a socket or wrench will fit on the nut.

Where is the nut with a tab?

The tab is on the opposite of this bolt connecting the trackbar. The top bolt is connecting the steering stabilizer. I can turn both a socket wrench, but everything spends with them.

I removed the front shocks and coil springs because I'm replacing them. I have more room to work, but I still cannot remove the trackbar and steering stabilizer from the axel (passenger side). Will a 3inch cut off wheel cut through the bushing and bolt?

On stubborn rod ends I have used a 24 inch pipe wrench. Put the wrench close to the end of the tie rod and apply a bunch of torque to it. The rod end usually binds up enough to spin off the castle nut even if the cotter is still in it. Otherwise a cutoff wheel will work. Try to cut off just the nut. Watch for grease fire.

The tie rods are already removed. I cannot removed the trackbar (both ends) and the steering stabilizer.

The stabilizer should be held on with regular cap screws with a lock nut. Cut them off if you have to, but don't cut into the stabilizer. The bolt may be frozen in the shaft. Put your impact or breaker bar on the bolt head and spin it while adding lube. Dont beat the threaded end as it will mushroom and then not fit thru the shaft.
If the upper link of the Trac bar is frozen, a pickle fork on a air hammer should get it off. The "tab" you speak of is what holds the nut in place while installing the bottom bolt thru the Trac bar. It also prevents the nut from loostening over time. If the bottom bolt is frozen, lube it overnight and try to loosen the nut instead of the bolt. Fyi these are a PITA to get out if they break off in the bracket. Heat helps if you have access to a smoke wrench

Thanks. I was able to cut off both bolts by the axel side using an angle grinder. What size are the bolts for the Steering Stabilizer and Track bar? Both bolts are connect in the bracket by the axel.
