I noticed my steering stabilizer on my 89 XJ as leaking, not dripping on the floor but I could see fresh hydraulic fluid seaping out of the tube. I don't get any death wobble or anything close to it so I don't see the point in replacing it ASAP due to the minimal off roading I have time to do. She still drives great and steered quite easily and controlled. What do you guys think? Leave it in, toss it, or replace it as soon as possible?

well there is no hurry to replace as soon as possible, some people say they drive without them and it's fine, but if it were me I'd spend the 30-40$ for one just for peace of mind and a clean driveway.

Yeah, that's why I don't see the point in replacing one asap, especially now since my transmission went out so I don't have the $$ to buy a new stabilizer. And it stopped leaking, so I guess it all leaked out. I did notice that my front axle upper control arm diff bushing looks like it's being squeezed out of the control arm. I don't have any death wobble what so ever, but could the deterioration of the bushing cause a wobble down the line?

My point was that it is there for good reasons OTHER than to control death wobble. One reason is to prevent rapid steering angle changes which can lead to loss of control. These can be induced by hitting an object, for example.
It's needed, and should be replaced as soon as you can.
Yep. Put it on your to-do list!

Well then I guess it's time to beg my boss for even more hours!! I already have to spring for the trans and transfer case, steering box (because mine is leaking fluid), new gaskets for the VC and trans pan, new trans fluid for a flush and fill, and gas ($3.10 here in SoCal). I hope to god the big bill fixes come to an end soon. I will have spent over $5,000 just fixing up my XJ without spending a dime on proper Jeep mods

I wish you lived closer to me, I have a good transmission and transfercase I'm trying to get rid of and I'd give it to you for pretty cheap granted I didn't have to pull them haha
