Default steering stabilizer install

Hey guys im wondering about installing my steering stabilizer tomarrow im wondering if i can do this while the jeep is sitting on the wheels and not up on jack stands cause i dont have them. I have ramps but not stands lol. Also has anyone ever installed the RC steering stabilizer cause they gave me 2 sets of harware and im puzzled if im still to use the old hardware at the base.

I did mine with it on the ground and I didnt use any of the old hardware. Hope that helps. If the original is still on getting it off is PITA but a hammer worked for me.

hmmm okay im sitting here tring to figure it out and im kinda puzzled oh well i'll figure it out toamrrow. Was yours a RC?

i think its just a couple bolts. might wanna have the PB blaster and a breaker bar handy.

go put some blaster on now and let it work its magic over night, this is unless it gets frozen! lol but really if yo can get it on there a day before, it will almost fly off

Yeah i'll do that in a min here. does anyone know the torque specs? or how tight to put it on?

it should be in the directions, but i just tighten it up.. get it nice and tight with a socket wrench, and itll be fine........i dont have a torque wrench that works so i just say **** it and ill keep goin till my instinct says stop..lol.. i know, not the best of practices but oh well........

Ok so i have hit a problem the bost holding the top of the stablizer will not come out of the drag link i have drilled it out tried a punch and the BMFH nothing any ideas?

I used the BFH to get that bolt out of the draglink, though it was rather stubborn. I had to put a bit of oomph behind that hammer. I tightened mine using the same exacting standards kamokid did, using my built in torque wrench, lol, and it's been good for quite some time. And mine is an RC too fyi, I didn't reuse anything from the stock setup. Good luck with that bolt!

i finally got the thing out after drilling it out went thru 3 drill batterys lol. but its on now and i love it. I did have to re-use the stock hardware on the lower mount cause the bolt they sent me was not even close to fitting. But its okay other than that im happy with it
