Default Steering stabilizer

Went outside today and noticed mine was leaking a little fluid, so i got a new one from work. I'm so close to getting it off, but how do you get that POS off the tie rod? It seems like it is seized on there or something! I got to the point i tried using a pickle fork to get it off, but to no avail. Any help/suggestions would be awesome!

When I did mine, I used PB blaster on it 3 times a day for a week before even attempting it. Came out with just a few whacks with a hammer. And yeah, heat will help. You'll get it

Maybe a pitman arm puller or tie rod puller/separator could help

It will cost you 10 bucks at your local pep boys. Buy yourself a pickle fork, wedge it between the joint and the drag link, beat it in with a hammer and it should break it free. If it doesn't, start wacking the head of the bolt till it pushes through. You may have to grind down the edges of the bolt if you flatten it out enough cause it may not clear the tapered hole

Got it off this morning! The BFH method pushed the castle nut up the stud instead of popping it off, so i muscled that off, put it on BACKWARDS and beat it till it broke free. in all, broke a ratchet, and cut up my hands

Next time, get some gloves and a better ratchet! Haha but just think of all the great bonding time you had with your XJ through this experience

We always get quality bonding time! Have to admit I didn't know what i was getting myself into with this one. The clutch was easier to do than that little hooligan!
