Ok...so I finally got a chance to get under it while my wife reluctantly turned the wheels for me to listen. It sounds like a horrible "creaking" sound coming from either the steering gear box or the surrounding frame. Any ideas!? PLEASE HELP!

Apperntly there is a problem with some jeeps unibody frames cracking under the steering box. You might have to pull it off and check for cracks.

In case anybody was still wondering about this. I finally pulled the steering gear box and swapped it with one from a 98 Dodge Durango 4x4 w/o the snow plow package and also threw in a C-ROK inside frame plate and the creaking sound is gone. There was no evidence of damage to the frame or anything else. I can only assume that the creaking sound was coming from the old steering gear box. Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the durango gear box. I can drive with one finger. Granted I'm only running 31's but it's still awesome. Thanks to everyone for the input and insight.
