My 2000 xj has a slight problem it has a shake or shimmy around 40mmph but goes away at 50 an it only experiences this problem when either u have aftermarket wheels on it or wheel spacers, with factory wheels it doesn't shake or anything an idk what else to try any suggestions would be greatly appcreated

 

any set of aftermarket wheels or just one set

 

Well I have only had one set on it, but I also have had 1.75 wheel spacers with factory wheels an it shimmys as well

 

Get the balance checked on your wheels. Probably wouldn't hurt to check the ball joints and tie rods for play as well.

Does it only shimmy with the wheel spacers installed?? I dont quite understand

 

Yes, only with the spacers on, with out it rides fine, an it has all new inner an outer tie rodes, an the spacers are true not out of round

 

center whole in spacer big enough so its sitting flat on hub when bolted up?

 

im not sure could it be any thing else ? like causein the spacer to not set flush on the rotor?
