What is the proper name for the shaft that connects the steering column to the steering box? and where can I get one? oreillys, AZ, rock auto, and napa say they dont have it. the dealers here really suck id rather not call.. Maybe im looking under the wrong name. I got two from the junk yard today to try one is the right length but the slider is seized so in order to install it ill have to pull the box plus not having the slide is a safety issue(im trying to break it free) the other has a good slider but its fully extended position is like 2 inches shorter than the other one tho it has the same part numbers on both shafts as the other one

Just google Cherokee steering shaft or lower steering shaft. Cheapest I've found is on quadtratec for $110 + S/H
