I have a 94 Cherokee.
So recently I have been noticing some jerking around when i turn all the way to the left or right. It wasnt really bad, but i have been noticing it getting worse. Today i was backing out of my driveway and when i started turning its felt like I was going over speed bumps and somebody was taking my steering wheel and moving back and forth. I havent worked on it at all yet. I figured I would ask you guys and save me some money and hassle.

sounds like a seized u-joint

 

is there any other thing it could be? Replacing a u-joint would be around $50 right?

 

The u-joint itself costs around $20-$25 for a good one other then that it's your time or labor to pay someone to replace em.
