Default Steering Issues???

Could someone give me some insight on upgrading my steering. For some reason it just doesn't look very safe, all my bushing are at crazy angles making them worn out pretty badly. O and its on a 99 xj with a 8" rustys LA kit on 35s. Any info would be appreciated . Thanks

Pics would be helpful. Anyways have you done anything yet to upgade it? At the very least you should probrably have a drop pitman arm and a over the knuckle kit. also if you have done them 2 things you should relocate your trac bar to keep it parallel to steering angles.

Well I just purchased this jeep (first one) about a month ago. So i am just trying to work the bugs out rom the previous owner. I am not familiar with the steering setup on these but it looks really unsafe. The previous owner used it as a trail rig only but im trying to get some street use out of it aswell. I just wanna make sure everythng is safe first before driving. I will post pics tomorrow.

The lil hole next to your coil spring is your lower swaybar endlink attachment. I'd highly recommend getting your front swaybar back on if you're going to drive it on the streets. Your steering rod in the second picture looks maxed out on the threads too.

Yeah the swar bar bracket I was already aware of. I have the sway bar but i just need to do the DIY end links and buy some mounts, which will be done soon. The part that is really bothering me is the angle of the bushings on the drag link.

Drop the jeep down a couple inches and get OTK steering. Jason from jeepinoutfitters can help with the kit.

It might just be a show truck. I wonder what the right side of the stabilizer is attached to. Diff cover bolts?

I take back the show truck comment.

Why don't you just remove the stabilizer and toss it? You don't need two anyways unless you are running really BIG tires.
