89' 5 speed 4.0. Stock with a lift and body damage.
When the jeep was purchased it was missing a steering column, but had a newer year column in it that was not hooked up, the jeep did not run. I was told that the jeep ran with the original column but someone tried to steal it and broke the original, that's why it had a newer column. I have replaced the new column with a junkyard part out of a 89 so it is back to stock year. Now with the new column installed I can not get it to work. It will not crank, the wipers don't work. Nothing works. headlights and other electrical works. Where should I start my troubleshooting on the column?


Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ignition switch. Power goes from there for the most part. Is the switch plugged in right, those pig tails can be a **** at times.

There's like 4 plugs on the column. Are they all hooked up? Double check everything
